What kind of truck driving do you have where you get paid to sleep?. I think it is only Fire Engine drivers that have that luxury.

I would divide weekly pay by how many hours I spent on duty and/or driving in order to figure out how much I earned per hour. -
By florida law when you are inside the property even siting down and doing nothing you have to get paid when you drive in teams is split money when you are sleeping you are getting paid by the miles your co driver is deiving or not ?
-
example 1200 miles you drive only 600 but you get paid for the 1200 split team

Forgot about a team operation, mainly because I have no interest in teaming.
Would love to hear more about this FL law though. -
Let your local state representatives know how you feel. even though it's not illegal but for sure it's in now way in the benefit of the driver. the more people that complain the more that our legislators will be forced to deal with the issue.

Always remember everything in your life us based on your gross pay. When you take per diem you remove that from the equation. IN practice what this does it lowers social security and any payouts of workman's comp or survivor benefits.
