I will be glad when summer gets here. Although that means the return of the dreaded hurricane season.

There is nothing like trying it yourself. I use to get so mad I would throw the mouse across the room.

Heads up on the weather. This is from Bill Kirk ....the real Captain Kirk, :). His company works with and for many major corporations in predicting the weather patterns. He has been right far more than most of the other sources that I use. This is what he says is coming up -

This week the stormy weather is headed for California with state wide heavy rain and heavy mountain snow. By middle January that exciting weather shifts to the Great Lakes, Northeast and Eastern Canada with a couple of bigger storm threats. For now we're just sharing the high level weekly snow outlooks for North America which shows the dramatic increase in snowfall middle January. Still a week away so no we're not going to discuss rain/snow lines of every storm but if you live in the Ohio Valley and Northeast you should get ready for the first bigger snow potential of the season. For a 2-week national outlook visit Capt's Log. Keep in mind the storm tracks next weekend are very much subject to change this far out. Keep you posted.

Have a great Sunday folks! - Capt Kirk out.

The load to Downingtown PA where I waited 40 hours over the holiday in the service plaza and then took it back on Saturday morning got stupider. I arrived at 8am, promptly given a door and sat there until after 230pm. They unloaded me in phases. At 230, all the workers scurried like rats, jumped in their cars and drove away. Not one person came to tell me I had been unloaded, get my BOL. I had to pull away from the dock and look in the back of the trailer to see that I was empty. Notified dispatch that I did not have a BOL and they were gone. At that point, I was tempted to empty my pee bottles on their porch, but decided against it. I did my haul at Ralston Purina from Mechanicsburg PA to Henderson NC. But I surrendered my trip to Dallas as I had lost too many hours in Downingtown waiting on TRIPAC to unload me. Freaking bastiges!! With no Dallas trip, and no planned load, I came on home to decompress. Waiting on my fleet leader to call me back for a load out tomorrow or Wednesday. Happy New Year!!

I am not sure at all if this goes here so I apologize if it doesn't. TransAm is on a short list of companies I am researching to apply for and I had a couple questions. The biggest question for me is how is the training process done? I am trying to find a company that does ZERO team training. I am not able to fall asleep on a moving truck I have already tried this and it just doesn't work for me unfortunately. My second question is does TransAm have DRIVER facing cameras? Road facing cameras I 100% understand and if the company I go with does not have one I would install my own.

As for training it depends on the trainer, when I was there I refused to team when training but I was in the minority.
Yes the cameras face in also. Most companies using a camera have them facing both directions. Hope this helped. Good luck
