    @SMTatham,

The rules also state that it is the government's responsibility to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt. If the state is too lazy to prove guilt, why should I be an idiot and have a permanent record when I can be proactive and act within the confines of the law, pay $50 and hire a lawyer.

Get off your high horse on the internet and know the laws of the land.

I've been told by sheriff's that they can call their DOT officer over and he can find a ticket on a brand new truck. You can play by those rules, I'll stick to the laws.

@macavoy Please re-read what I wrote. Especially the last part. NONE of it was "high-horse" or in ignorance of the "laws of the land". NOwhere did I suggest not to fight a legitimate ticket. The point I was making is that there are WAY TOO MANY people pretending to be pure as the driven snow.....

I don't think you and I are on different pages about this.........and am a little confused why this thread from July suddenly fired you up.

    Get a CB Radio.
Run at night as much as possible.
Run in the rain, and other bad weather.
Take roads where there is no where to pull over an 18 wheeler.
Learn the locations, and times the DOT works.
    Bypass every scale possible.
    Download truckers path.

Yes,.. you can hire an attorney to petition the judge to strike a conviction from your record. Even if you have already paid the fines and have the points.

Ultimately it is at the judges discretion. The way the lawyer explained it to me,.. he will look at your over all record and decide if you 'deserve' a break or not.

It's an app for a smartphone that is free.
Every truck driver that has it on there phone it will ask if the scale is open or closed. It will update and other truckers can see if the scale is open in real time. It also has comments that truckers leave like if the DOT is working.
It does the same thing for helping
You find parking at truck stops in letting you know if it's full.

The weather looks fine all next week guess I'll have to stay home. 6 wheeler you crack me up.

I used TVC a few years back. All they did for me was flip through the Yellow Pages.
