    Make sure all the Cummins gearcase upgrades have been done. At 250K I'd expect so.

    Over the years Cummins has had several recalls / updates to the front gear cover & such on the 6BT 6.9 engine, which is the base engine in the Dodges. I assume it IS a diesel. No big deal, but by engine number Dodge or Cummins can verify.

    If you take the vin number to a Dodge dealer they should be able to give you the entire history on it. All service and repairs that were done to it at the dealer.
