There are literally thousands of videos on YouTube describing what trucking life is like so getting into it should not have any surprises for you. As to how do you buy a house as a truck driver? The same way you would if you were a garbage man or an accountant or an office administrator. You save your money and maintain a good credit.
So you're giving the job an ultimatum? You want to make 50k a year on your first year or you'll quit? May I suggest that you drop that number and instead concentrate on spending the first year learning the trade?
Like all other endeavors in life, if you simply do your job and do it well then success will follow. At 30 years old this should already be common knowledge.
Give me the trucking get rich blueprint. lol

for the record, I ran across the video and emailed to myself, as I do with a lot of online items to review when I had some time available. I do not know the individual in the video.
here's another website I sent myself but at the time it was on a different topic.
Facebook founder Zuckerberg makes building an Al butler his New Year's resolution. -
Thanks for your response. Just to clarify, I did not say I plan to make 50K in my first year

As long as he gets paid what he is happy with. I think I would rather longer trips with a lower CPM than the other way around.

If you wanna build credit up.
Take your 1st 1000 you make.
Go get a regular CD certificate of deposit at your bank.
The immediately go and get a $1000 loan and use that as collateral.
Make your payments on time and slightly above minimum but it has to be in there long enough for seasoning to take effect. Seasoning meaning at least 6 months worth of payments...some banks say three but mine says six. Its a better bank.
I like Dave Ramsey but I also like having a high credit score. Saves me money when I go rent cars phones and crap having that high score.
I tell ppl with bad credit to use this strategy all the time. Ala my tenants.
Not just a landlord who collects money in his underwear at 3pm but also a financial advisor. XD -
Can I get the loan from the same bank as the cd?
-
I have a secured credit card now, use it for as much as I can. The bank account manager suggested getting other secured cards from other sources as that will help build credit faster than just the one card, but I am liking the idea of a CD secured loan.

Get on credit karma I have been on there and they tell you every thing to do for no charge and you can view your credit score and outstanding debts at anytime no charge.
Redtwin Thanks this. -
Won't let me sign up. I have bookmarked it for later when I am able to.

Yup.
Saves time.
Just check to see how long they take to report to the bureau. If say the word seasoning they will know what you mean. Well the older folks will.
A community bank if you have one is the way to go. You can go to any bank and get the loan with a copy of that CD.
You CAN live without credit but I'm a believer in good credit. Some aren't like I mentioned a Dave Ramsey.Redtwin Thanks this.
