Should definitely be taught. We'll have fewer introverts and more people who realize to get anywhere they have to put themselves out there and network. I've gotten the vast majority of work in my life by knowing someone. And, I suck at networking and am pretty far from a people person. So, it can be done.

Compared to 2012 No. Compared to what I'm doing right now in Pennsylvania I could potentially make double or triple what I'm making if I was to work for the right company.
