Cleaning nasty aluminum wheels

They were about 10 year old wheels, never touched. Restored to new. Cost per wheel, including shipping.

I tried to clean one and concluded i am much better suited to other jobs.

What happen to the long wb frght flat top?

she is looking real nice, hood almost looks like the late 70's earl 80's style. but props on keeping her that clean

 

This is what we have learned. Chemicals are our friend.

 

Crader Tire in Mo. will swap wheels for $50-100.00 plus dismount and mount at a tire dealer near them. Their reconditioned wheels look better than new. Crader needs 5-7 days lead time.

 

@AfterShock, never really had anyone say anything about chrome. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Lol

 

There is a guy in Frenso that plates aluminum wheels for like $200.
