That bait n switch sounds fd up..id be pissed! I guess i got lucky. I can really only speak of my experience on dedicated ny account where im at now with em and they pay us $60 per day salary,.41cpm 13.25 stop plus detention etc... Typical day 2 stops in long island stop n shops no touch then go to pa for a backhaul at the usual warehouses then back to ny and go home. 3-450 miles per day 3-4 total stops and your $60 and any detention after 1 hour. dont know how jb was in past or for otr positions but these ny accts pay a premium and u will get 5k sign on. Again just 1 mans experience on 1 account. Keep that in mind.

First off this is an absolute lie...and is shameful to spread a rumor like this. I know 4 drivers who left jb at my account and were back within 6-9 months cuz they were eligible for rehire and received the sign on bonus of 5k again! One guy tried local with nfi and wasnt making as much and was working more for example and came back..oh and not only that they let him ressume his seniority with company where he left off and keep his vacation time etc instead of starting over. Also jb is not a beginners co. Cuz they dont hire new drivers nor run a training school mill unless your military they work with you and set u up. The avg driver at my account made 65k and change in 2015 and was home every day with 2 days off...So my trainer said or when i worked for jb in 1989 or i heard or they called me and said...all means jack squat. I been with them over 4 years and its been a very positive experience compared to what i heard about them online before I took the job. Thank goodness i went with my gut and not hearsay. We have 140 drivers and 130 of them been here since day 1 with me and are still here. Theres a revolving door of about 10 drivers that just cant handle nyc and top a trailer or quit cuz they gave it a week. Oh and for intermodel..its literally almost impossible to gross less than $1110 week with jb Interm. The majority are avg 13-1600 week hardly breakin a sweat. Thats jb hunt and i have real experience with them...there not perfect but i can go on and on with good stuff to say bout jb but you get the jist. Im not tryin to piss anyone off or make enemies but simply put info out there that needs to be heard from a real jb driver. Not sayin everything you hear is wrong or someones opinion dont count just laying out current perspective of jb hunt as of the late.

I worked with them for a couple years, bought my own truck and left. Came back 2 years later for another 2 years before buying another truck. Made 50 thousand my last year there 2001. So don't believe the trash you here. Go there give them an honest shot and you should do well. Just my 2cents.

I worked for them for 9 months. I can tell you that on day one of orientation 3 drivers who were told the yard dog job they applied for was taken but they had plenty otr jobs. The three men walked out. So as far as the bait and switch I believe it. I on the other hand was having fun until.......

youre funny. They'll do anything to avoid paying for a motel.
Very true. They also offer you $5000 signing bonus and then take them away hoping that you will still stay with the job. JB Hunt has the most vindictive corporate culture against its drivers I have seen in my entire driving career.

I did intermodal with them for 6 months the only reason I left is because I was thinking about my own truck and then they tried blaming me for a new damage on one of the trucks and put it as an accident against me(i took pictures of every truck drove before and after every shift) they couldn't charge me for it, and then i found a bag of feces in one of the daycabs and they expected me to clean it and drive it because it was the only truck available since I was the new guy on the hub

And they've done that since before I started driving.

Schneider did the same thing to me in 2012. Was supposed to get an intermodal job 20 minutes from my house, but they told me that position was taken and they only had a local intermodal position available in Chicago, over an hour drive for me. 12 hour days, work every weekend. All for 32 cpm and $31 a load. I walked out on day 4 of orientation. I quit Pepsi because I was tired of driving in the city, delivering pop in tight areas.

I've currently been at the same job for 3 1/2 years and love it. The pay isn't amazing, but not bad either at $1,300 a week. I'm salaried for my route, and make extra for any extra work that I do. I work 3rd shift and have weekends off. I average 45-48 hours a week. Benefits are great too, no waiting 10 years for a 3rd week of vacation either..

Everyone has their own experiences about where they work. You can find happy employees that work at crappy companies, and you can find pissed off employees at the greatest companies. I'm sure somewhere out there you can find a happy Werner driver. Hell, I met a happy Central Transport driver before! And that place is the scum of scum! As long as your happy, don't let people tell you otherwise. I've seen too much of " I make $2,000 a week home everyday, your $1,200 a week home on weekends is crap, your an idiot for working there. " on here.
