IFTA sticker question

Do not tape your permit to your windshield. I got pulled in at Wisconsin Scale in Madison and the mother ####er did a level two inspection. He came out and said .. "well, everything's clean as far as your truck and paperwork but I'm gonna have to give you a violation for Windshield Obstruction because your permit cannot but taped up to your windshield". I tried to persuade the officer ... "Wouldnt that make me a easy target to be pulled over.."..

Officer said: Yes but if your all good then you should be Ok.

HAHA .. me thinking in my mind.. OH YEAH, i want to give any dot officer a chance to stop me .. good riddance. The officer refused to revise the report and ended up telling me "This is how wisconsin works, I dont care how Illinois works. If you come in to this state and anything is on your windshield, you will be given a violation for obstruction." I tried to DATAQ it but well.. I ended up losing that battle because they threw the book at me in the dispute.

 

And if you didn't, they would have given you a ticket for no plate displayed! You can't win with these people.
