I don't know about those mpg claims. I drove for Mesilla Valley for a very short period doing shuttle runs between Tucson and Blythe governed between 60mph and 62mph and never got more then 9.4 mpg average..And their trucks probably get the best mpg of any fleet out there with a fleet average of over 9 mpg !!

I've never had any problems with a Prime driver. Yes, they ARE governed low....I believe they have a fuel bonus.....but I have seen, from time to time, a Prime COMPANY truck actually pass me! I'm governed at 63 and this was on a straight stretch of road, no hills, nothing......usually surprises me.

If you're referring to that pic I posted of the MVT International , it's called the "FlowBelow Tractor AeroKit"

I've noticed other big companies using them now, even saw a bunch of hobby lobby Volvo trucks with them

I drove for these thieves in 95-96. They were the original lease purchase innovators. They found every possible way to take from your settlement. The trucks did 76 mph and some guys had their trucks turned up to 2200. I made the same or less than a company driver. Back then they paid .79/all miles or percentage. I didnt trust them to pay honest on percentage so i took the mileage. I lasted 6 months lol. I left because I was doing all of their work for free, and making less than what I was as a company driver.

I left thinking what a brilliant business model they had, basically get drivers to save the company mega $$$ by driving economically and making them frugal on repairs and maintenance. I always thought it would come around and bite them in the ###. I can't for the life of me figure out how they're still in business.

I don't hate Prime. That said they are the master of the fleece deal.

Too many have been lured in that don't have a clue as to what they are doing. They starve out before they get started. Not realizing the rent is about twice what it should be because they are not only paying for their truck but also all the ones that don't have drivers plus that palace in Springfield.
I am willing to bet that more than half their "contractors" and their co drivers don't have health insurance for them or their family's.
You are not running a business as they claim, you are just helping them make more money buy having less bennies than a company driver.
Their plan is based on working 24/7 365 day a year, get sick or hurt you never get caught up.
It seems to me if leasing was such a money maker that they could run all company trucks and pay top wages and have little turn over.
Oh, and that big lease completion bonus is just a few cents per mile held out of your earnings . It is not a bonus, it is just your money that they kept for a few years.
