Have you talked to anyone at Abilene yet? It's a great company with awesome loads/lanes.

I just talked to Kurtis Jones. Seemed like an honest person. Didn't try to sell me just gave straight answers which I appreciate

Sometimes but not really, you'll get which ever needs to get moving at the time. We have mostly dry van freight then reefer in some areas

As mentioned, we don't really have two different divisions (dry van vs reefers) like some other companies... We are assigned a nice new, or newer, truck and then we pull what ever trailer needs to go... This week I might pull a reefer for a couple loads and then pull several different dry vans for several weeks before I will hook to another reefer.

As to experience, they have an in house training program so they will take qualified students straight from a CDL School. Which is how I started with the company.

If you have a year or more experience then no training is required. They might run you with a trainer for a week just to verify your skill level but I am not 100% sure about that part.

If you have less than one year experience, they might run you in the training program for a bit but not the complete program as you have some level of base skills already.

The pay is .36 CPM but might be .37 CPM if you already have some experience. That should be verified with recruiting.

Now, miles... A solo can pretty easily average 3,000/week without much effort. They have great loads and nice lanes too. I have not done much of any sitting around waiting to be dispatched since I was assigned my truck.
