Dude that is a sweet rig...I'm not a huge fan of the kw family anymore with them t600s n 660s but I couldn't believe how sweet that 680 was. Just very driver friendly it seemed to me.

^ I think the distribution centers have a similar 1 hour window plus or minus as Walmart. I never was running late but I was told I could not arrive more than one hour early.

I delivered bottled water direct to retail stores before, much more laid back, first come first serve. I think you will be fine direct to store as long as it is during receiving hours.

That hourly pay sounds like a good idea until you think about what will happen. The bean counters at the megas will figure out how much cheaper it is to pay a driver minimum wage than to pay them CPM and still need to hire a lumper. So they'll start running you 100-200 miles a day and the driver will be working the pilot jack at the dock. I'm not interested in that model lol

Who knows how that would go down. Anyway made a wrong exit leaving my reciever since they cancelled and rescheduled my delivery and went down 335 south and found out I had to go 47 freaking miles to turnaround. At the mcdonalds service plaza down from that small flying j. I ran out of hours 30 minutes before getting to that receiver hoping to get unloaded, but nope. Meant to get on 70e to the service plaza over there now I am an hour backward.

If the OTR drivers were to only get 100 to 200 miles a day, how is the freight going to be delivered if they are spending a lot of time in the warehouses operating pallet jacks?

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

The Gravy Train derailed 40 miles from Birmingham AL. Def light on engine check lights on. Called our shop and towed it in to Freightliner in Birmingham. Sat all day and went in the shop when the last hotel shuttle left the dealership. At the Holiday Inn Airport in B-ham tonite. As an aside, met a young man named Reese with a giant Boxer dog at the dealership. Got several facials from the dog named Baxter. Made a tough day bearable. Need to find a company that allows dogs without charging an arm and a leg. Someday.

It isn't even a option to have pets as a company driver.

I never liked the 600 or 660. Too small upfront for a fat guy like me.
