I would be happy as a clam too! My work boots are still wet from this week. I got home at 1400 yesterday haven't touched them and my left boot is still soaked. What gives?

Put wadded-up balls of newspaper inside them, Mike. Draws moisture out. Should be good by Monday morning. I was in some muddy lots yesterday, too!Mike2633 Thanks this.

That is one thing I do NOT want to be.
I operate the way I do to benefit one person and one person only, and that person is ME. -
Even with the day I had friday, with half of thursday's work to do on top of it because of all the pickups that got misses due to my being routed to a different area, work has BEEN my "peaceful place".
Question now is does that mean I have a good job?
...Or a crappy home life?
Big Don Thanks this. -
I vote good job. I'm just more in the zone with this job, even when it's stressful and intense like you were talking about. But dealing with little family problems while I'm at work puts me over the top.bottomdumpin Thanks this.

Um, no.

Besides, it's plain as day in my profile.

And, as a few other folks pointed out, here in out little sector of the industry we have to routinely shoehorn 48 footers into places OTR drivers wouldn't even think about.

Nothing worse than problems like that when you're out on the road. That's why I preach to everyone to have your personal issues in check before you get into the truck. Cause if you think it's a problem at home, wait until your 1500 miles away.Gearjammin' Penguin, Big Don and Mike2633 Thank this.

Didn't nobody never tell ya you'll go to hell for lyin' like that???

@Mike2633 try laying your boots on their sides, (unless you have a boot rack, which is the best way.) Don't put them in front of the fireplace or hot air vent. That can ruin them in a hurry.
Well, there was a time when I had the same problem. Geeze I got happier after the divorce. . .
Naptown and bottomdumpin Thank this.
