Fear of steer tire blowout ! Anyone have it?

    Once I do my pre trip I have full faith in my equipment. If I see something I don't like then I call dispatch. My safety is paramount. I'd rather be late and safe then dead and dead.

    Anything can happen but that's why the pretrip is so important. Minimize the dumb stuff that you can control.

    I have had 1 steer blow in the last 31 years......I never worry about it.
    Just put a gauge on them and look them over every week.

    The one time it happened to me it was about 100 degrees out and I was left lane stepping..
    Brand new Michelin so I figure it was a defect.
    Sure made the the butt bite the seat cushion!
