I have my conceal and carry license in IL. In all states I run I call each states Federal field office every 6 months to ensure that its still OK for me to carry concealed.
So far so good as I'd rather carry concealed and not need it then need it and not have it.
Today I saw a driver wearing a pistol....

I'm not sure what you are talking about when you say "Federal field office" but concealed carry laws are state, so I'd suggest checking the websites pertaining to each state's laws on concealed carry reciprocity. Most states should have a webpage that gives info about concealed carry and they should have it on there, maybe just find all of those and bookmark them to check them periodically.
I'd hate to see someone get hit with a felony because some federal agent didn't know what they were talking about and gave you bad info. -
Android type. Its supposed to say state sherrifs office. You can't trust websites. They are often out of date. That's why I call every states Sheriff's office to determine.
I would say check both, each states website and call the Sheriff's office. I've been stopped in IN and handed my concealed carry license along with my other paperwork without incident.
When in doubt do the legwork.crzyjarmans Thanks this. -
All these guys wanting .45s in their truck is a little silly. Road rage shootings are a thing and I'd quit driving if it ever becomes common for drivers to carry.
Lock your doors, park safely, be smart. Plus, I don't know what caliber a fire extinguisher is but anyone breaking in to my truck will find out.
This is coming from a guy that has been marched into the woods at gunpoint by a lunatic. I don't think a gun would have saved me, I think it may have killed me. -
