real id law begins january 22. truck drivers wont be able to drive anymore without one?

I have a MO DL.
Guess I should be OK.
I keep my Passport in the Truck and Green Card in my Wallet.

...so if I'm reading that right, MORE THAN HALF of the states have not yet "complied" with the federal mandate. In a country founded upon the principal that the government derives its power by the consent of the governed, this MASSIVE refusal is the equivalent of giving the feds the middle finger and telling them they overstepped their authority and that the "mandate" SHOULD in effect be unenforceable.

 

This may force me to rethink this summers planned vacation.......

 

Some people will probably piss an' moan a whole lot when they're refused boarding access at ye olde airport...
