Fix a failed physical

You gotta fix yourself first friend. I've been there, I know what you're going thru right now.

 

I had a stroke 2 years ago, the doctor in the hospital asked me questions.
The relevant part:

"Do you drink alcohol?"

"Yes."

"More than 1 drink a day?"

"Sometimes,yes."

"Do you ever have more than 5 drinks a day?"

"On the weekends sometimes,yes."


On the list of medical conditions in my discharge papers, there it was:

"Alcohol Abuse"

That was by my own admission. You gotta be careful what you say.

 

This man was in DTs. Please don't encourage him to trivialize his condition because it may cost him his life.

 

Maybe you could use some help,if you get the shakes.

 

Not trivializing anything. More than 1 drink a day is alcohol abuse. If you can't answer the doctor honestly, you have a drinking problem.

 

I'm glad to hear it. Do yourself (and your family) a favor and find an AA meeting. The good news is that you never have to drink again, even if you want to.
