I've hauled every Knight trailer behind myself at one time or another, Dry, Reefer, Container, all in the same little red truck. Best was when the guys started stealing the sold trailers and hauling loads in them.
Fajo Thanks this. -

Why they changed the name to kold trans? It was kool trans
-
Because it was owned by a different company.
-
Actually, the name got changed because they got sued. So Kool Trans is now Kold Trans, It sounds stupid as the last one lol.drvrtech77 Thanks this.
-
Yeah, they got sued because Kool Trans is a name owned by a different company. I mean, you'd think they'd check that first.Fajo Thanks this.

How is kold trans different from knight, truck speed, running lanes, governed speed, hometime
-
They are knight..owned by Kevin Knight...
-
This is Wrong, Why Knight has a decent stake in the company they are not the whole owner of it. A hunting buddy of his that used to be CEO over at Central runs the gig. He did take a loan from Kevin and a few other "investors" and Kevin does have a vested interest in seeing the company succeed to he gets his investment back.
The contact between Knight and Kool Trans says Kool Trans can buy it self out of the stocks owned by the other party at any time. When I left tho Kool Trans was relaying on Knight for a quite a bit of Logistical support if things go south im sure they have a clause in there for Knight to pull ownership or buy out the other party also.
But as things stand they are two different company's, Kool Trans pays Knight for every part that it uses, from its shops to logistics so you cant say Knight is not benefiting hugely from this deal.
