That's only if you let it be. Here is the truth about brokers. If you are a small carrier you need them because you can't possibly have sales people everywhere all over the country beating on doors. They fill a need and provide a service. Yes they do indeed take advantage of conditions. Exactly in the same manner as I do with my truck when I can. Funny how the customer always seems to get a pass in these arangements as blissfully ignorant when really nothing could be further from the truth.Viceroy1 and brian991219 Thank this.

That is what blows me away is how much groceries continue to go up n price the last 6 months with everything else going down n price that is involved in agriculture , mainly fuel.
How they can even begin to afford screwing around with ethanol with the cheap oil these days. Stupid government Subsidies .1johnb Thanks this. -
At the good ol petro, couldn't get in here yesterday found a spot at the TA then moved over after getting a trailer wash out in fontana. Streight mad even this morning. Lol

I get the whole free market and more trucks then freight. There's been more trucks then freight for some time now and yet the rates just keep dropping. Funny I called a broker this morning, the load he has is a run I do alot, I gave him my rate and he actually told me it's was to early in the morning and offered way less then I ever heard of. I wanted to tell him to call me in the afternoon when the rate went back up lol, but I just said no thank you and have a nice day. Me personally, Ill just catch a load home and spend some quality harley time till that call comes lolHopeOverMope Thanks this.

My understanding, is, there was a strike in early 90's. In canada. Lot of people went to prison. Lot of food went bad. I don't remember all the exact details. But that's the basic of that strike.
-
Can't speak for Canada, but down here in the states there was no strike of meaningful size in the nineties.
