Bad weather is going to hit the east tomorrow with snow up to 2 feet around PA, MD, VA and who knows where else.
I'm heading to Virginia Beach to deliver my load around noon. Since I don't have a reload as of now, I think I might just stay in VA Beach and wait out the storm.
For the Beach there is only rain in the forecast but some possible flood.
I don't really want to hassle around after the storm clearing 2 ft of snow off the trailer. Running with it might not be the best idea. I expect it to be heavy stuff, too heavy for the roof.
What's your plan B?

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be out in that, either. Rain is much easier to clean off than snow (unless your cab takes on water like my old one did).

Just pretend you work for swift and run your pass. side up on a curb. The higher the curb the better. The incline will let the snow slide right off!
(/sarc.)bottomdumpin Thanks this. -
Ya, I would take a couple days off and relax... They are saying some areas will have up to 3 feet...

My plan B was to drive truck if plan A went bad. I'm living plan b and it's A OK. Get some provisions and ride out the storm. Better yet get provisions and find someone to ride out storm with.

Wherever you might be in that storm, stay save and pull over before the s### hits the rad.

Where would your next load come from? Temps look like they will be a little high for a monster snow in Virginia Beach. So you will be able to move even if it does snow. But which way would you be going?

Just made my delivery in Johnson City TN a couple of hours ago. I drove up from Chattanooga and it was raining the whole way up and I got to JC and went in to unload my freight. It took about 30 MIN and when I came out the rain had turned to white-out condition snow. Took me 3 hrs to make it back to Knoxville.
