Now this probably isn't much to you crusty old farts who have been flat bedding for years, but I got a kick out of this place. They led me in with a dozer knocking down trees to get to a spot with a log cabin kit and then led me in a big circle knocking down more trees to get me out in Ky.
I got a kick out of it lol, you sure don't see this stuff pulling vans

awesome pics!
how do you like melton? -
Good days and bad days but I look at it like the military, as long as the good days outnumber the bad, I am ok. So far they have by far. I really like flatbedding and I think that may be why I can look over the bad days.
No company is perfect but Meltons imperfections don't bother me. I get reimbursed for all my expenses as long as they had to do with the load no questions asked. The other drivers are always helpful (I haven't been flatbedding but a month so I tend to have questions lol) and my DM is always willing to work with me when I want to be somewhere. I personally can't stand the north east and that seems to be the favorite spot to send me and that's my only grip. If they could keep me everywhere but there, I would say to ME it's a perfect company lol. Maybe not to others but I enjoy the hell out of it.elharrison Thanks this. -

Nice picts and that dozer, that's a D-4 is it not???
Ah, just a "flyswatter"
Now this:
is a dozer
-
That could have cleared alot in alittle time
-
Hahahahaaha, yeah she was a little girl dozer, but trust me, you would have taken out about 20 houses to get that thing in where I was going. I would have been nervous driving my car down these black top roads

I had the owner of the property lead me down because it was 5 miles or so of blind curves and hills and he would stop oncoming traffic for me and back them up and out of my way to get to this place.
Good time though, I like the strange spots for some reason. -
Did you have the pucker syndrome going on around the curves
That was nice of the owner to help you out and keep everyone safe
-
Hahaha, yeah I had some pucker factor going. The load was low though and very stable and I was creeping so I wasn't too concerned about having to stand on the brakes if someone made a less than brilliant move on me.
And the owner had little choice
, I wouldn't have gone down it alone and he could have gotten a forklift out to the main highway and a few hotshot sized trucks to pull it in if he didn't want to escort me. Not being a wimp, but my safety and the safety of the truck are a bit more of a concern than making one dude mad because I wouldn't drive in the middle of nowhere that a big truck should never go to lol. The boss and the shipper both had my back on that one in writing as well that I didn't have to take the load to the site if I deemed it unsafe.

You know instead of "Ice Road Truckers", there should be a show called "Back country Truckers".
