He will have to wait 3 years before some of the better companies will hire him. But then he will have to go to cdl school all over again or maybe a refresher course. He might be able to get on sooner with one of the 1099 companies where you drive old trucks with no benefits.

Not yet, they are waiting for all the reports to come in and he is off work medically due to the accident for now. He will see his doctor tomorrow to see what they say about how long before he can return to work.
But in the meantime waiting I guess for the DOT and /or police report on the incident. -
Step in to my office!
Your fired! -
Which state do you live in?

Well if that is the way it will be, guess the Good Lord has something better for us in store.
Gotta realize ones mistakes, take responsibility for it, suck it up and move on.
I keep reminding him if this is the case, consider ourselves lucky he is alive, no one was hurt, no spills and we can still pay our living expenses with his retirement. Lesson learned.
He doesn't drink, nor take drugs, he wasn't trying to hurry, he was not tired he had just got back from 2 days off, he thought he was driving an appropriate speed for the conditions, something happened, not sure what, and life happens, Trying to look at the positive. I sure would like to know if there were any witnesses and if so what they saw. One always wants to know why something happened. Just the next day there was a mud slide, so was it a small mud slide just as he was passing? Was there something wrong with the truck? I hope we find out soon, Could of been any one of a number of things. (deep sigh) -

With that rollover, he's in big trouble as far as future employment.
Carolina Cargo might hire him or as mentioned earlier, maybe a 1099 company off Craigslist. -
Sounds like he should've let it come to rest off the road. Trying to get back on is a major cause of most tanker rollovers that I've seen.

Something to think about for sure. However there was something about an embankment so unsure if that could of been done, I'm not a driver and I was not there and his boss mentioned that somehow my husband avoided a ravine and had he ended up in the ravine this would of played out very differently. wow so much to consider.
Thank you all for entering this conversation. Hubby doesn't get on forums, well until now he really didn't have time for it. Have read everyone's comments to him. Maybe mentally hubby and I are trying to dissect this to much. If you get rear ended you know what happen, if you rear end someone you know what happen, this, well can't be 100% for sure can only guess and assume I guess. -
The ecu ... trucks computer... should have everything logged such as current speed and gear as well as clutch engaged or not.... sometimes the Qualcomm logs this info but depends on the setup... legally the Qualcomm only need to accurately record location and miles driven during a drive shift... it gets that info by calculating speed and time passed just like the truck does but does not necessarily log the additional infohorsethief Thanks this.
