I agree. I have just as many problems out of big trucks. I'd love to ride by and flip them off as they ride the middle lane doing 62 mph with an exit every 20 miles. We lose our safety bonus if we get called in on flipping someone off.
Also, stop texting and digging in your phone when your passing me. At least wait until you get away from everyone.
How do you all do it!!! No appreciation

After nearly 35 yrs behind the wheel it is a pathetic situation what has happened to respect and pride. I've washed my hands of it. If you put an aggressive individual out of his comfort zone( say in the woods at night or in a small boat on the Ocean)they become alot more submissive. So your really not that tough guy, unless you were a Marine. Semper Fi

...Always fun pulling the horse trailer and looking in the mirror to see a fuel tanker driving 3' off your rear bumper. Some "professional drivers" aren't very "professional" in their driving.Tonythetruckerdude, okiedokie and Dye Guardian Thank this.

Really enjoy my Train Horns. Much better than the finger.
And, when someone rides up beside me while texting, the ones that will speed up, fall back, over and over, they get the horn. Usually, they put the phone down and go on. -
Night driving. No one dares to flip you off at night with no one around.

Truthfully I can't remember ever having any situations with semi's when I was driving that big horse trailer.
Maybe I was lucky. -

Best observation so far. It's the trucker's ultimate and professional responsibility to first be aware of things going on around him , of developing potential problems in front , beside , above , and yes below him at all times.
His number one responsibility is to be safe , even if it costs him a few seconds of time in many situations. Patience , is a good drivers best tool. Without it , it's not a question of if he'll be involved in a terrible accident , but when he will. You newbies , and some older hands need to commit that fact to memory.Last edited: Jan 26, 2016

This is true... it's like a silent moron buzzer that goes off. You see them creeping up and you know it's coming. It takes a while to develop this trait, though.
