Getting this done in TX doesn't seem to be as easy as some of these other states - their forms look like lawsuits. I qualified because I had completed deferred adjudication probation, and not got into trouble for 5 years. There isn't a time limit on when I can get it taken care of, I just couldn't have got into trouble for the 5 years after probation. I did quite a bit of homework, and its not really that easy in Texas - maybe in other places.

The other places I called wanted more money and these guys gave me a guarantee...if I get it sealed, count me happy to spend the cash. Just go to the TX State website and take a look - its definitely not as easy as taking a form to a courthouse. It looks like the states are all over the place with cost (filing fees in Texas are over $300 alone) and what you can get rid of and how hard it is. If you guys have the time and knowledge to do it yourself, I'd do that, I just don't! I'm happy to just put this crap behind me and move on. The knowledge about what disqualifies HazMat has been really helpful though - not sure I actually needed to do this for it. Still happy its gonna be gone though!

In utah, it's just one page to fill out. But that's for misdemeanors. I've never had any felonies so i can't detail that process.

I had a pot possesion in 86. Timeframe of 7 years.
Dui in 94. Timeframe 10 years.
False Dui drugs in 04. Immediately. It was dismissed before it went to court. BUT, i still had to do the expungement BS.

Here's a suggestion, research the actual rate of success from the law firm and from the state itself. Typically to get an expungement or pardon, you will have to get a letter from the Gov..

I don't think you can check a law firm's rate of success anywhere, but I got a money back guarantee and they seem to be good with the BBB. You don't need anything from the governor in TX, I did my research before forking over the $$. I think its a lot harder in some other states.

They should be able to tell you their success rate, the law firm that I am working with for my federal pardon was very upfront on their success rate in the past, even giving me names of a couple of people they had helped.

Agreed, I know someone who spent a ton to expunge a criminal record. Years later the conviction popped up on a background check, making him look really foolish and feeling dishonest in an interview situation. Sad.
Technically, by law, it is supposed to work-- but it isn't fool proof.

Full pardon is the only way I know of. Many hoops and roadblocks. Then it's up to who is in office at the time

Hazmat endorsement does not require a clean record.
3 felonies did not prevent me from getting hazmat endorsement. you can be a murderer or rapist or drug dealer and get your hazmat endorsement. however if you were caught illegally transporting a truckload of car batteries or an unmarked container of flammable liquid to a recycling center without placards, you might have a hard time getting the waiver.
