Hey there guys I just wanted some insite.. Pretty much I'm starting off my career with a mega company and after my training OTR with my trainer I have to go back home so I'll be leaving the company . In addition I had signed a contract where they would pay for my school if I stay with them for a number of time.

    1) With that said I was wondering if I should I add that company in my resume as experience even if it's for a month.

    2) Also can I still work for another company even though I breached the contract?

    Thanks

-Blessings to all and your family be safe out there on the road

1.Yes,you legally have to list trucking employment..you don't get to pick/choose who/what to list.(DOT very serious about this)
2.Sure..whether you are being financially sued has nothing to do with them..Keep in mind some companies have rules and can release you for Garnishments to paychecks..

    Trungster Thanks this.

Go back home as in another country? Why not wait to sign that contract and hold off on starting your career till you are back and ready to work? Multiple reasons why but to answer yours first any experience is good but most companies will not hire you with only a months experience under your belt.. As for breaching a contract I know ppl that have done that and gotten jobs easy but with smaller companies.. I have heard also with these mega carriers they will black list you if you fail to keep your end of the contract.. Which brings me back to my question why not wait till your ready to roll w/o quitting??

better ask companies that question.some will not hire if youre under contract with another company.if you're not ready to give it your 100% commitment I would call that carrier and see if you can brake the contract.lie if you have to like a family member is sick and you need to stay home and care for that person.there may be a fee you'll need to pay but it's better then just bailing out right after you get your CDL That right there says a lot about the person and companies will take that into consideration if you're worth hiring or not.sorry if I sound straight forward but that's how this industry works.

Furture employment - not a problem.
Future Credit - They will put a big wart on your credit report.

You signed a contract and now you want to back out and it is not for an emergency? In my book as a business owner - you ####.
And your signature line dares to say 'Blessings to all' Joke right? Ethics? any at all?
