I have an engine vibration at higher rpms. My balancer and pan were both tan at one time so my father is saying it's got the wrong balancer. It's probably from a big cam. But I don't think it would fit the n14 select and if so. Wouldn't it vibrate all the time?
A local Mechanic is saying clutch or injector issue. Doubts it's the wrong balancer.
Can someone put a big cam cummins damper on an n14 select? Have bad vibration

Did you recently change a fuel filter?

No. I'm going to service the truck tomorrow..
We tried to adjust the clutch but it won't budge. Alot of the vibration goes away when we push in clutch. -
I would be looking at the clutch very closely if it is froze. If you broke some springs inside the pressure plate or bad throw out bearing could cause it. Also check your U joints, carrier bearing(s) and drive lines, along with input and output shafts on the diff's. Sometimes it is the easy stuff you should of checked first. As for the the Crankshaft Dampener I would try to see if Cory Wood can help answer your questions, he is like an encyclopedia on N14's.

You could have a bad dampner/balancer as they do wear out internally.

We have already checked everything else in the driveline and now we're at the clutch. Since we can't get the adjustment to move on the clutch and alot of the vibration goes away when u push in the pedal we're assuming the clutch is bad . I also found one of the bolts broke off that hold the clutch to the flywheel. We will be pulling the clutch today.
So it seems the entire engineu was tan at one time.so I guess the balancer question is irrelevant now.
