^^^ Is that how @TROOPER to TRUCKER tore his rotator cuff? (lol / jk)...
HalpinUout and Cottonmouth85 Thank this. -
I have hauled as much as 48k in a sleeper truck and dry. With 15k for dry van, 48k in box, that tractor had to be 17k which is pretty light for a sleeper. Most are now over 18k although I am surprised that PackRat's 780 comes in at 18,800 that seems pretty light for one of those fueled, but it is what it is.OOwannaBE Thanks this. -
But before that I inherited a load signed and sealed by another driver and was a heavy paper load. It was a night time sensitive load so I scaled it at our Fulton yards and scaled it as far as illegally could. Well I rolled near the GA scale and caught the red light. Pulled in was scaled all good and rolled out.
Well I got another red light in VA at 3am well I was too heavy on my drives. I got a inspection and all was good and DOT officer noticed the load had shifted and cited Averitt not a single violation on me. Now Averitt THINKS when I come back to work they are going to payroll deduct it from me over 3 months.
Hate that for them bc they may get a month or a little over out of me then the rest is gonna fall on them. Already checked and they can't take all of it out of my last check or anything and I have that in writing.G13Tomcat Thanks this. -

^^^^ Man, they banged you bad. No pun intended. Dude, we are sorry...didn't know the dynamics of it all; just missed your wit and wisdom around here. @Toomanybikes . . . true, double-screw. Some of these newbies have single-axies and they dunno the dif.
^^ T to T . I respect you, man. Did some LEO stuff myself in between the refuse-route and the twins I started with. NOTHING but respect.TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
My 579 weughs 34000,I scale 45000 often, but have to run half a tank of fuel, and run fifth wheel all the way forward.
Usually scale at...
12,600
33,500
33,500
79,600 -

Also in ref to my situation Averitt seems ignorant on the disclaimer on the back of cat scale tickets even though the DOT officers generally respect it but acknowledged its not their scales

When I was OTR, I drove a 98 Pete 377 sleeper. Don't remember the trailer manufacturer (53' dry van), but with half fuel (125 gallons), I could scale 47,500. A bit less if my wife was riding along...
