Yeah I was thinking it's not a great or terrible deal but it works. I've read alot of ur posts and funny thing is I just completed a full 3 years lease with Prime. I can't say anything bad about them at all but I would like to get my truck independent from Prime or whoever I decide to run with. I'm not running at all right now and I may or may not go back to Prime but I feel like acquiring the truck on my own will give me more options, especially once I decide to run on my own. I definitely want a new truck and LM is @ the only place that doesn't want 20% down

Not sure why you don't go back to success leasing and do a lease purchase. It's a better truck than the LM and cost the same but they only do 36 or 48 month lease purchase
-
Actually the truck I'd get from LM would be better than the Success trucks. And if I did go back to Prime I would be going back to their Advanced Fleet and using my own authority. This is all a rolling idea in my head and I'm familiar enough with the Success leasing model that I basically feel like the math on both deals will work out to the same result. I did very well with Prime's lease so I won't bash it at all but the longer I've been away from them, my itch to see what else is out there has grown. So the ability or ease of going elsewhere without their truck is the main appeal, all other things being fairly equal

Please explain the options that come on the LM that's not on primes. I sat in both and LM was quite low on goodies

News trucks are there. It's not a bad deal.

Im talking about the Cascadia Evo, with the Lone Mountain Specs.... Higher HP ( which is all I really care about ) ...could care less about the carpet or heated seats... When I said "better" that was probably not the right word but I should have said equal to or just as good as Success's. LM has a base model, a normal cascadia and the EVO which Im interested in. The biggest turn off with Prime was how they nickel and dime you to death and the fact that thru a straight lease youre still looking at a sizable balloon payment after paying off their truck for them... Again, Im not bashing Prime or their lease model but this time around Id rather finance a new truck thru LM or someone else over 5 years. The other thing with Prime is their "safety" junk which I have no use for. All the OnGuard, and Lane Departure and Deer Guard and what not I hate, and trust me, theyre not putting on their trucks for free, another reason Im looking at the Logistics side. I dont want a turned down and restricted truck and I certainly dont want to pay money to have them do that. Truth be told I will admit that while I do have a certain affinity towards Prime, I also believe they could put together so much of a better deal for their lease drivers and that more than anything is probably whats leading me elsewhere.Pastor Kenny Powers and fa9 Thank this.

Good points.. the prime lease purchase has no balloon payment with 10 to 14k down. I personally like the safety equipment and depending on carrier or insurance signed up with it might be required now or in the future. I prefer the prime lease purchase but both do have their ups and downs.. I wish you the best in your journey to ownership and I'm right behind you soon.

Any time you get a long term loan (mortgage, auto, etc.) The interest is alwYs compounded over the term of the loan. It's not just a straight percentage of the principal. That's why so many lenders charge a fee for paying a loan off early, because they will lose a large chunk of money from the compounded interest.Orangees, Straight Stacks and dog-c Thank this.

Not always, bought many vehicle, and had mortgages, paid off early with no penalty, just paid off my house two years ago, 8 years early, got payoff and sent check, they even sent back about $300.
