Hello everyone, I ran into this problem twice during my 4,000 mile trip on the road. I will
Be going 65-70 miles and all of a sudden my speed drops and rpm drops but the engine is still running. I will have to pull over and turn the engine off and restart the truck. It happend twice in a week. Just curious if anyone has any clue what it can be.

Have you check to see what codes the truck is throwing?

Is the coolant level at max and is the oil level good?

    I had a 12 d13 Ishift

It used to do this pulling hills

It would derate and slow down

Ended up being back pressure on the turbo caused by a failed sensor

I'm a company driver so I didn't get specifics of what went wrong

I also hear if the diesel partical filter is clogged it will derate as well
