I had a student once when i was a trainer who was every bit of 450lbs.. He couldnt get in the top bunk which was actually a good thing. I was afraid it would fall on me in the night with him up there. He slept in the passenger seat for the week or so he was on my truck. I wasnt going to let him ruin my expensive mattress and i flat out told Werner im not sleeping on the top bunk. He didnt own a car and had never driven a vehicle besides at CDL school so he was quite scary behind the wheel; went by a terminal one night and told him this is your stop, lol. Told Weiner on the qualcom, safety reasons, never heard a word.

He had sleep apnea so bad i dont think he ever really slept. I would of felt sorry for him but he ratted me out for having a stun baton in the truck after i put him off ,so screw him. Nothing came of it but they did search my truck and make me toss it, I did have the option to ship it home; wasnt worth it.

I got up there every night in a prostar for a month. Just step up where the little desk slides out and do the same motion where you get outta the pool butt first.

If you can do that its real easy.
    I'm 6'3 though.

That truck sucked it didn't have any windows or nothing up there. No vents no nothing. Hoooootttttt.
At least the kW has windows.

Top bunk ftw, always feel like a little kid camping or something. Also you get more privacy. Last thing you need is the top guy coming down while you're waxing your dolphin

I'm 61 years old and about 6'5" tall. I sleep on the top bunk all the time. No problems.
