I have some questions as well. I am a new car manager at a local high line dealership and bought a 2011 F-350 duelly to haul the cars we dealer trade. I called progressive. They told me I'd be roughly $6,000 for a year of insurance on 1 million. I'm looking at a double car carrier vs. a 3 car to try and keep my weight below the 26,001 lb limit. Any suggestions from veteran guys that would be willing to help me out. Mistakes you made that I should watch for? The truck only has 58,000 miles and I bought a comprehensive warranty that will go to 148,000 miles. I'm ready to ship just want some wise advice if you have any!

What about cargo insurance?
-
That $6,000 was with cargo also. At least that is what Progressive quoted me. Does that sound about right? I checked on some other sights and what people were saying was about the same as the $6,000 per year.
-
Doesn't sound right. THAT IS CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
What do you pay and how many cars are you hauling? -
I don't haul cars, I pull a flatbed. I would check and see if that does include cargo. I'm kind of doubting it.

I just got a quote for 11k for 1 million liability, comp and collision on a 10 car. Cargo quote was 4k for 500k coverage with a 10,000 deductible. Still shopping around. I used to have Progressive but they won't do over 500 mile radius or so I was told. Its kind of comparing apples and oranges but I agree your quote does sound kind of on the low side.
