Have you check to see what codes the truck is throwing?
Is the coolant level at max and is the oil level good? -
There arent any codes and the fluid levels are all good.

Ok so need a little more information.
Year of truck what transmission miles and engine. -
Its a D13 2012 ishift Transmission with 500k miles
-
I had a 12 d13 Ishift
It used to do this pulling hills
It would derate and slow down
Ended up being back pressure on the turbo caused by a failed sensor
I'm a company driver so I didn't get specifics of what went wrong
I also hear if the diesel partical filter is clogged it will derate as well -
how about check your batteries first make sure everything is tight. loose connection will do this sort of thing

Thanks guys, it happend on the i-40 during extreme winds, so it may be a bad connection

Had that kind of problem but it turn out to be lower coolant..
