The reason for not pulling forward is that a truck is not to block a intersection. If the light changes and you cant make the turn, you will annoy alot of drivers. Or at least that is the way I was trained. Hang back at the line, wait until you can safely turn. Drivers behind you may not understand, yet they are not the ones driving your truck.

Am I the only one who is curious why getting a physical is not an option? Unless you know yourself that you will not pass it why wouldn't you do what ever you can to keep your cdl? If you don't have a family doctor are there not walk in type clinics or I've even seen doctors in truck stops that will do it for a fee. Just curious maybe none of our business. Just seems like a lot of work to get it only to let it drop.

Hey, I hope you still have access to this account and found a resolution. Did you ever figure something out? I too have a CDL and I'm trying to leave Chicago and head to Orlando in the NEAR future and I was wondering what the process could be like. I've been told multiple things from, we would only need to take general knowledge, air brakes and combination. I've been told theres a simple fee, I've even been told I have to complete pretrip, skills and road once again. Anything word of advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you

I do not know about Florida, but I tend to think it is like most states and recognizes out of state cdls. When I changed mine from NM to Alaska, I just had to take the written test for a car, no cdl anything.
