5 car trailers

I see debt as the largest problem. I started on the downside of the economy. personally, I think that is the best way. If one can make it during the ####ty times, gravy years like 14 only make it sweeter. As its a little slow now, I am looking to purchase a cabover olde school high mount 9 car to expand, hoping to sell my FLD with a double bunk to do it with , wait for it..... no debt purchase. From what I have been reading and wathching, Slant 6 and Kansas gotta pretty grasp of it. Cabovers Forever!!!!!

 

And to answer your question, most of what I see and people I talk to are running the Kaufmann 5 car. A ##### to load stick shifts up top as its almost straight up up and down to load the top deck. It has only one ram. They consistently crack the welds at the bottom corners and the axles are cheeeep. Once you learn your limitations (usually the hard way for me.....) Most of the guys I know that can manage finances, make money. I keep thinking about buying one myself. With a winch, great for inops over a wedge imho.

 

Horrible advice. I can't think of a single reason to recommend a Kaufman 5 car. Its horrible in every single way. Probably the worst trailer in this industry

 

I'm in line to get a Infinity 5 car . From my research they are at the top of the list. Sun Country and Infinity were neck and neck. I didn't like the single axel with the sun country. The Infinity has a 6 month wait. I'm using a modified take 3 that I modified to put 3 large cars and 4 small cars on it. So they don't hang over the back more than a few feet. The centerville "DOT" is brutal on Pick up hauling cars.
I'm currently using a old freightliner with a sleeper pulling a wedge.

 

I thought Infinity was either out of business or in bad shape??? I did call them and look at one, and just my opinion, but I don't think an Infinity is any where near an SC in quality, maybe between Kaufmann and SC but not equal, unless something has REALLY changed since 2012?
