Suddenly the truck thinks that the parking brake is on when it is not. I called one dealer and stopped at another, both thought it might be the pressure switch so I purchased one. After a full day of beeping and no cruise control, we dug into the dash and replaced both, the Parking Brake PS and the Brake Light PS, to no avail. We have the Parking Brake PS unplugged now which keeps the beeper off and allows the cruise control, but don't know what else the problem could be.

ALSO, in conjunction with the parking brake sensor, the turn signals quit. Everything else seems to be functioning properly, including the 4 ways???

I have a manual that covers enough for me to know that there is no traditional flasher, rather a multi function stalk, power divider and node. But that's not enough information for me to know where the problem lies.

Anyone have a suggestion or experience with similar problem??

I'd start simple, clean all grounds, leave the batteries disconnected for a few minutes, check the taillights make sure the plugs aren't corroded. Then move to the node and check wiring there.

Some times having the CECU (cab computer) re-flashed will fix some issues, the kw dealer can do this for you.
the fuses in the chassis load center (found next to the washer tank) are for the chassis node and most all external lighting, make sure they are all good. and check the chassis node housing for any damage from road debrie , any cracks will let moisture in and strange symptoms start to happen.

    Truckdobe Thanks this.

Completely disconnect the CECU and chassis node and then plug them back in. If the problem persists you may have to take it to a KW or PB dealer, or someone who has ESA.

It was the ECU for the turn signal, almost $1200 to diagnose, overnight and replace. So much for $30 flashers.
