Agreed... The third driver that hit the second driver was not paying attention when the traffic before him slowed/stopped.

What on earth are you talking about? Look at the traffic ahead. Look at the shadows on the right from the trucks in front.

Brake check? No... traffic was stopped.

The dashcam truck should have passed? No... traffic was stopped and that lane was full.

no need to get snippy,i was watching the other two lanes which was open and all the traffic was going at a steady pace.my mistake, the second driver wasn't paying attention.but in my defense it does happen, trucks and four wheelers does brake checks just to be an ###.

So, if the second driver had changed lanes, then the third driver would have run over the first driver... lol

Well you were sure quick to judge--incorrectly--the other drivers in the video, and throw them under the bus. Turns out, you just weren't paying attention... kinda like the driver that ran into the truck in front of him. Funny how that works.

What a waste of equipment and potentially life, especially if there was a team driver in the sleeper of the white truck.

Speaking of teaming, I'd be real surprised if that sort of thing doesn't happen more often to teams than it does to solos. My brief experience teaming (basically training and then one week teamed with someone involuntarily afterwards) leads me to believe it's quite conducive to falling asleep at the wheel. Especially for those doing it not by choice but as a company requirement.

I got out of that situation after being compelled to team for nearly a year in 2014. You may be right. If you're not sleeping when you're off-shift, I can easily see setting yourself up for that.

We're on the wrong page what third driver?I'm only talking about the two mainly on the video.at first I thought jacket driver delibrately stoped then got going again because he sped up a bit and seen that wasn't the case.

That would be the dimwit who rear ended the 'second driver'.
