Not so much that you're being punished as much as it is you are dependable and all their revenue solely depends on you.NavigatorWife and stungjoe Thank this.

I've stepped back a couple of times. I kept reminding myself that I have financial obligations. I'm now in the best position I've been in since this whole thing started. About a month into this I stated my "concerns" and was told that if I expected to get all of my Saturdays off (as I was told when I signed on) that he(dispatcher) would "take this as my resignation and I could move on". Luckily I had just made a car payment and realized I was in no position to "move on". Since that day I have put every single penny I have earned into the loan. I don't have another payment until July and I have also put about $3500 towards principal. Like I said I've put myself into the best financial position to "move on" so that's why I've reached out to more experienced drivers to see if they have any insights such as yours and the others here.NavigatorWife and thejackal Thank this.

Some have suggested that very thing..haha
In regards to the bold portion; if this guy spent as much time just doing his job instead of trying to get others to do it for him he would actually save time. He's one of those types that is always angling for the advantage over someone else. The oilfield guys were always helping others. This guy is always helping himself.
So yes, he's seriously messed with my deal while he's quit content with the arrangement he's been given!
I just want my weekends back. More money would be nice but in the end; I have never not given two weeks notice. It's just a thing with me. That being said, two weeks notice will do them absolutely no good. These guys move slower than molasses in winter. -
I've left a job only to find out the next one sucked even worse and then wish I had my old job back.
FreightlinerGuy, stungjoe and rachi Thank this. -
Yep, me too. I had a good gig at Cummins left there for promises that never came. But if I hadn't I never would have gotten an over-seas gig that let me see a whole bunch of this world I never would have been able to see. Doors open and close and only time will let you know of it was for the better.White_Knuckle_Newbie Thanks this.

Been there. That company lost your respect and that's all that matters. It's called favoritism. You got two options: stay subordinate or find another gig. If a new guy comes in and gets the runs that require less work your gonna be pissed. Best of luck.NavigatorWife and stungjoe Thank this.

Move back to Dallas. If you don't want to work for Trimac, go with Maverick Transportation and have weekends home. A one week notice is more than sufficient.
NavigatorWife and stungjoe Thank this. -
Been there, done that. And i'm there again. Looking to go elsewhere. At the moment.NavigatorWife, stungjoe and taxihacker66 Thank this.

Me too.
Never thought I would miss the 80's but man I was making way more money and having way too much fun.
NavigatorWife, thejackal and stungjoe Thank this.
