Good luck to you as well!
Should be a wild ride -
Good luck to you, Black River Falls is one of my favorite towns, the people up there are the best.
Now, I don't know anything about Millis, except it's in a great town.
If you get stuck up there, I recommend checking out The Cozy Corner. -
Good luck! You made a good choice in Millis and your instructor Bill in Trenton is top notch. Real good guy and will teach you everything you need to know. Just listen to him and you will be fine. I graduated out of Richfield with Millis in Sept and been in my own truck since Oct.26. Actually Bill tested me out so I could get my own truck. Any questions feel free to ask me I'll help if I can. Again congrats and good luckLunchbox379 Thanks this.

Just a small update. Since I am going to a private CDL school's satellite office in Dyersburg TN there are only 5 of us in class and 2 are refreshers. So we should get plenty of one-on-one time from the instructor. The school has a Bigger Main Office in Jackson TN. The only draw back is, for the road test we will have to go to Jackson and test there. Same Training Truck but different unfamiliar streets. OMG the Knowledge Test for Permits is killer. Not so much the material but the teacher...monotonous.
JGLunchbox379 Thanks this. -
Day 3 in the morning with Millis. We get to go around in the trucks for the Millis 500 lol so far moving right along, pretty smooth....missing my family a whole lot but they're one of the reasons I'm here fighting through it....good night y'all,be safe
Jason G Thanks this. -
Ok, bit concerned here. After getting our CDL permits Wednesday morning we come back after lunch and are told the CDL school has cancelled classes and told us to report back Monday afternoon. Reason being they say, "We have an instructor (skills/range trainer) out". -no reason why given- "and the OTR instructor will have too many students to fit in the truck." He has 4 from previous class and 5 with my class and 9 people can't fit in the truck. One option was to send another trainer from the Main school down to our satellite school but then the Main school would be short and they have more students. So they called it off till Monday when I suppose everything will be back to normal that afternoon ??
This concerns me because I will be paying quite a bit for this training and I am now shorted 3 days of training. 1/2 day Wednesday + all day Thursday and Friday and 1/2 day Monday. All I can see is either they will pick up the pace of training or class will last longer than scheduled. In either case this seems unprofessional. Now this school has been around for 15 years, you would think that this would have come up at least once in that time and a contingency plan would have been in place not to cancel classes. In my opinion they breached a contract with me. Weather is one thing (snow/ice) but this is disgraceful. What is everyone else's opinion on this? Thanks for reading and sharing.
