Even the guys that live here bypass that scale. It is always open every time I go by it. Get my tanks dipped there more than any other coop. The thing I hate about it the most is heading west loaded. I see why they put it where they did but dang, right at the bottom of a hill?
Isn't this dishonest and can something be done about this??

When they wake me up I just call (817) 273-5222 and tell them what's up, get an apology from the DOT/cop and go back to bed.

OHIO Is by far the worst state.
I dont cross into OHIO but when I do, those cats are just playing cat and mouse with the drivers. My first time ever crossing into OHIO... I was riding into a rest area and I see 5 OHIO CMV troopers with their creepers on five trucks there.. I gladly decided to keep on going and exited the rest area. Needless to say, I havent ever stopped in OHIO ever since unless it was my destination (customer).FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Yes but they are distributing drivers who are doing 10 hour breaks

Happens all the time, legal or not. On the plus side you can fight violations if they cite you in a truck stop or rest area (I parked it here to get it fixed.) Tip your service guys extra to sign to that fact.
I woke up in an Ohio rest area to find like 5 cruisers behind me. I was parked in the corner (not legally but perfectly out of the way). They all parked right behind me and were giving about every 5th truck a free inspection. They left me alone but that was the most thourogh Pre-trip I've ever done. -
I have never seen this done in Texas. What a load of crap. Mandate guys take 10 hour breaks and then disturb them during it. I could see them parking at the rest area and stopping people as they start to leave but not disturbing them.
Good point on the violations. If you are parked you could most certainly argue you noticed whatever the flaw was on your post trip and were going to fix it in the morning before you started your day.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
What's that number?
