This thread should be renamed "Why do European's hate American trucks?" These posters from overseas think that there way is the only way & everyone else is doing it wrong. Pablo is the only one that actually tries to help when someone has a problem.
spyder7723, sdaniel, beltrans and 1 other person Thank this. -

No , it goes well for a while then it falls back to stupid truck vs ugly truck argument. Truth is there is something to be learnt from unfamiliar technology. Hollow arguments can be shown and people can learn if they were open and used common sense. Problem is people take offence when you say their trucks are ugly or stupid and switch off their brains.

Do you mean inclines like here?

I own both NA and EU trucks , I switch my opinion on which is better more often as I encounter trouble with these trucks .
After 3 years I'm leaning more toward NA trucks ,daycap to be specific are better and more reliable and easier to repair. The things with EU trucks they are so fragile when it comes to sensors, electronic to be comfortable with. -
M.G. Bryan Equipment from Grand Prairie, Texas also found a nice truck for mining shale gas:

You can only compare them when you compare today's trucks, not older trucks. Modern NA and EU trucks both are loaded with sensors.
-
Well that's exactly how it goes, my opinion based on trucks from 2004-2009 all loaded with sensor and ECM etc; mostly MAN or FH12 would break down on the road for electric glitches , while some freightliner they would some issues but often caused by battery cables issues nothing serious
-
Sure, but EU trucks from 2004-2009 are Euro 3, 4 and 5 trucks. So they already had quite some number of sensors for emission controls. I don't know what comparable NA trucks had in that era. Judging from all the complaints I read in this thread, they had far less sensors.
