Its child abuse. Me being put on that drug screwed me up in a lot of ways. Give your son a glass dick and make him smoke meth, he will do great in school. Doesnt mean you should do it!

Speaking of doctors. A psychiatrist told me adderall is still a relatively new, powerful drug and its not fully understood what effects it has on a person over a lifetime.

as much as I hate the whole back in my day thing, I kinda agree with this, pharmaceutical industry just tries to fix every single problem you could ever come up with with a pill. people having different downfalls is what makes us all individuals. not necessarily for ADD but in general.

Has anyone seen the commercials for binge eating disorder?? what???? now being a fat@ss with no self control is a disease??

Everyone is not affected the same way, possibly the majority are helped by taking it, some are not good on it...and others have gone postal from using these types of prescription drugs.

I was actually shocked when my mother said she would have listened to a doctor had he prescribed me these drugs. She did send me to a child psychologist for a few visits. I was a very hyperactive child and at 51, I still am.

When the boom was going on in Texas I was working major hours three months at a time before a break and many of my coworkers half my age asked me where I get the energy. I have always been against illegal drugs but just use caffeine.

Adderal and paxil mixed together led to suicide attempt by myself. My dad didn't like my independence at a young age and well the Boston area quacks when i was a kid were just getting started on those pills. Had the opposite effect they were supposed to. Well, no #### doc, I'm not crazy. Just think independently of the collective unit.
Flush those #### pills down the toilet for 96% of the population. The other 4%like my mother who is skitzoeffective, bi polar, multiple personality disorder. Ya, she needs the meds to just have basic function. Buyers beware

Well, my wife's Dr tried to convince her not to get an epidural. She almost got punched in the mouth.

Also, Adderrall has been being prescribed since 2002. 14 years in the general public, after almost 10 years in testing. Maybe your Dr needs to brush up on her reading, it been widely known in the medical community for almost a quarter century.

It's a safer alternative to Ritalin, for which you need a much higher dosage, and Ritalin had long term side effects that Adderall does not.

Sure, in a perfect world, where everyone is born with the same exact body and brain chemistry, it would be nice to have a perfectly natural population. But since some kids are born without legs, we created devices to help them. Now science is helping those born with slight irregularities in the most complex system of the body, the brain.
