ADHD or ADD

A small amount of kids benifit from meds, but many are unnecessarily medicated. Just about everyone is being diagnosed with something these days

 

Congrats! I know it can be tough, I fought through it for most of my 20's. Then I decided I will do what it takes to do even better by my family. My goals did not seem attainable at Also, some people have different levels though. Some people are on 20mg, or 40, or 60, or even 120mg, twice a day.

There is something strange going on though besides Big Pharm greed I think though... like how Autism has jumped so much recently, I wonder if we are just old and bitter about how many kids may had a medical attention deficit disorder?

 

I couldn't decide which thread to post this on, because my ADD makes me paralyzed by indecision.

And I forgot what I was going to post because my ADD caused me to be distracted by something else while I was paralyzed by indecision.

 

Adderall has not been tested for a lifetime. Therefore the long-term effects are not known. I understand you are a frequent user of Amphetamine. I expect you to vehemently defend its use. My own experience tells me its bad news. And its a frequent gateway drug to meth. Chemically it is much more similar to meth than ritalin is. Thats part of its potential danger. We are going to have to agree to disagree here. I wish you all the best.

When I was younger my parents had me on Adderall for attention span and it helped tremendously. The side effects were terrible tho, I can only imagine long term effects... but then again it's mainly used on kids who can't focus.

 

I was taking adderall during my first year of college. I aced every single class. Works great. Of course it does, its a drug. But what goes up must come down.

 

What were your side effects?

 

Extreme loss of appetite, I lost about 50 lbs in 2 months when I first started taking it, sleeplessness, irritability, the list goes on.
