What apps are you drivers using for truckstops/rest area locals?

Trucker Path Pro: GPS for Trucks, Truck Stops, Service, Weigh Stations And Walmarts Locations by Trucker Path Inc.

I use Truckers Path and Allstays Truck and Travel.

I like Truckers Path because it allows for parking lot status updates. That's also its Achilles Heel since there are enough retard drivers who think the lot is full when they can't find parking in the first two rows.

I'll second what TDI wrote. Truckers Path is excellent save the parking status feature. It's very hit and miss.

Last night TA San Antonio was showing full. BS. That place is never full. Sure enough I get there and all the spots in front are taken but the back of the lot is a ghost town.

Tonight I've got no time left on my 14 and I gamble hard that the place I'm at now really is "green". Lucky for me the report was accurate. Pilot across the way really is full.

TruckerPath is good but doesn't get updated as new places open . Its also constantly asking for reviews . There are also inconsiderate jerk drivers who will change the parking status to full while still a few hours out so other drivers will continue on and they will have parking when they get there .

AllStays is good if you know the specific city or town you want to look up. For example , Dallas is on the north side of I-20 with Lancaster on the south side so truck stops a few blocks apart won't be listed in both .

Even if you're a company driver and don't care about fuel prices download Fuelbook . It shows every fuel stop by route or nearby area and is a great way to find the little mom and pop places that are listed no where else . Use the satellite view of the map location to see if there are trucks lined up . You'll discover places with outstanding people and food in a lot of them .

Thanks for the info... I use DAT trucker and just 2 days ago downloaded Trucker Path.... I'm liking it. It seems to be more up to date than DAT.

I wish there was one that had all the spots on it. There are places that I've always known about... little dives... 5 or 6 spot hole in the walls, great places, that the Apps just don't pick up.

Even I can't know every single one of them across the country. We should be able to share this info. (Just not TOO public) select sharing amongst a privy crowd of respectable individuals!

Maybe this is my get rich quick scheme !

How many of you will pay $1 for this "hole in the wall info"?

Now , see.... it never even crossed my mind to register a place FULL hours before I got there to ensure I had a spot to park later.

My mind doesn't work that way.

    That's just sad.

I wouldn't mind if trucker path was a paid subscription if they moderated it better.

I use it. Don't trust it though.
