So I like to park at a Walmart now and then to get in my 10 hour break. I was asked to post here where I park and if they are trucker friendly.

Today I simply called a Walmart that was about an hour down my path and they said "unless you drive for Walmart, they won't let you park here."... So I won't stop or shop there tonight.

Then I called one that was like 20 minutes ahead of me... First Lady said, "I think it's ok... but let me transfer you... One second please."

Second lady said "yes, it's fine... Just park on the side or out away from the building so you are not in the way of the other customers"

So I parked, went inside, and spent $100

    Moral of the Story:

Walmarts on the south side of town are much nicer and friendlier than the ones on the north side of town... LOL

    Stay Safe,
    MD

PS ... The app "Truckers Path Pro" shows you where all Walmarts are located, in the area or along your route, and have a "call" button that calls that store... Simple.

I generally don't like parking at Walmarts, but I called a Walmart one time to see if I could park there and the manager said yes. When I got there I was greeted by a big sign that said, "No overnight truck parking". I went inside and sought out the manager to ask about it, and she said, "yes, that's true, but you called first so it's ok".

It pays to do the right thing. So if anyone plans on parking at a Walmart, it's best to look up that particular store and give them a call first.

Yup, and the Truckers Path Pro app makes that super simple to do.

Parked at a Sam's Club last night. They actually close at night so even fewer cars to work around. And I am going to be gone before they open too.

Well I'm supposed to be starting orientation next week. Since I haven't driven in over a year I might be put with a trainer. We'll see!

From reading this site calling companies and asking questions can lead to them just blatantly lying to you about lots of different stuff. If I can get the information ahead of time about a company I will then know if a company is lying or not when I ask them the same questions.
