I think 62 is the edge. Ive heard of people getting popped at 62 around weed which is really hilly.your comment about a hill is a little off base tho. If your brakes are heated up you probly should have been going slower begin with. Thats pretty funny actually. Think about that comment. I was going down hill and was out of control.... really?

If I'm outbound on 8/10/40, I might take it up to 64. The high desert CHP seems to be a bit more lenient on speed, especially if you're pointed in the "right" direction. Inbound and on the I5 I run no more than 60-62. On 99 I set it to 59 and forget it.

On two lanes I do 57 and that's it. Love making those 4 wheelers suffer, especially on those long no passing stretches on 58.
