Good drivers move over for a number of reasons already posted. What ignorant people don't understand is they are endangering themselves as well as others. If you think it will never happen to you, think again. I'm driving a short haul belly dump 40 miles a trip, its pathetic what happens to people behind the wheel. I don't know how you guys do it day after day.
Do you move over?

I move over when i see SOL (no not that SOL) i.e. Signs Of Life. If I see that a troopa has stickered it i know it's been there a while and not likely to have anybody hopping out a saying "booo" but if nobody is in the left lane I will slide over.
Bob Dobalina Thanks this. -
I saw this beautiful brunette walking alone on the freeway yesterday. No car in sight. I tried my best to pull over and ask her for a ride but she was 3 lanes over and too many cars blocking me. I hate LA traffic sometimes.bottomdumpin Thanks this.

I'm not moving over because you can't keep your trucking running and have to pull over! Lol jk
I move over even in the "no truck lanes" to allow other guys to move in the center lanes--- I'll gladly take a ticket for using those lanes for reasons like that.
My batteries on a volvo (below driver door) burned out a ground wire somehow on 294 IL. If you know where these batteries are located you know the fender has to open toward you. Simply out my butt was literally on the LINE and every time a truck was coming I had to squeeze against he truck. This was a longest fix indid myself because not a single truck would move.
Sometimes I contemplate on throwing something on their windshields.Big_D409 and Dye Guardian Thank this. -
For those that posted or thanked posts saying you only move over if triangles are out:
Why?
If I just pulled over because I thought I heard a tire blow or saw a strap getting loose on my load, I have a good 10 minutes to check the situation before the triangles need to come out. YOU DON'T KNOW the situation. If you fail to move over when you COULD have, or at least throw on the 4 ways and ride the zipper, those that are tailgating you might be oblivious to the danger and wander over the fog line.
I always make a point of getting over as soon as I see the need. Doesn't matter if it's a mile ahead. This is for safety and as a courtesy to drivers behind me to be able to see the situation as early as possible.Dye Guardian and brian991219 Thank this. -
