Tennessee is hit and miss for me too. Good choice deadheading out and getting to a better area.

I've been getting a lot of messages about how slow things get here during winter.
Building materials have slowed down, steel hauling has picked Up. During the absolutely worst time to flatbed, let alone lease a truck after all expenses I am averaging between 1650-2000$ take home. I'm not to happy with that, but I'm making it. Home time, a week lost in the shop and holidays have put a big halt to what I'm used to doing. I'll be home this weekend, next weekend and then out until Easter. Go home loaded!! If possible, be a responsible adult and leave on time even if that means a day early.HalpinUout, 88 Alpha, TruckerNerd and 3 others Thank this. -
Made it home today. 86 miles from delivery. Looking forward to a few days off.

Getting a new starter today. Sitting at the Ann Arbor ta. I could be all upset about being broke down but I'm glad that things that are wrong with the truck are showing up while I'm under the first period of my warranty because all the major components are covered. Bonus that the started died while I was home so no expenses for being broke down besides not being able to book a load just yet. So how I'm doing as far as booking loads go... I think I made a good impression with the Dearborn agent that office calls me all the time with freight offers and just to see when I'll be back in the Detroit area

Good people there in that office!! They have a wealth of freight that's never posted on the board. Great office to make friends with!!
88 Alpha and ratherBfishn Thank this. -
Left the house a night early to get closer to my delivery before ice hits the roads tonight. Sucked leaving but it's part of having a successful business.
I will unload in the morning then deadhead about 250 FEET to my next pickup with 5 drops finishing in California. $5167 to truck plus $500 to tarp and $375 in stop pay on 2690 miles. Back to the west coast..RERM, 88 Alpha, drvrtech77 and 2 others Thank this. -
Health insurance... Yes you can get health insurance here settlement deductible for you and your family through True Choices. Is it the best insurance no, But definitely better than having none at all. I encourage everyone to have something out here personally you never know.

The month is coming together minus the breakdown that I'm recovering from. If the truck and I stay healthy I hope to do $22,500 this month in revenue to the truck. I will be happy with that number. However, I know I have some tweaking to my game to do as I know some trucks are doing a lot more a month in revenue. If I'm going to be away from home I am about increasing profit tightening my business. After all my daughter is 17 years away from college, now's the Time to save lol88 Alpha, HalpinUout, ratherBfishn and 2 others Thank this. -
North Carolina tonight. Will be delivering in Arkansas Thursday, Phoenix Monday and both stops in California Tuesday. Other than the rain, today went well. Patched some spots in my tarp tonight and settled in for bed.
Lonesome and ratherBfishn Thank this. -
Tennessee for tonight. 680 miles put down for the day. Ready for bed, looking forward to getting this first stop off and slowing it down to about 59 mph and try and conserve fuel heading west. Plenty of time, no need to be wasteful.
Lonesome, Philly1Finest and TruckerNerd Thank this.
