The reason I ask is because, according to your mention of your friend and his intentions earlier, the reason for his job loss may, or may not be another reflection of his seemingly questionable integrity. If it turns out he did something inappropriate, illegal, or was accused of something which lead to his dismissal that would be one more red flag, in my mind, as to whether or not maintaining a relationship with such an individual is in your best interest. Particularly if you two are considering team driving! Would you be willing to put your life in his hands if he is of questionable character?

Your friend is scum. Scum has it's uses, but in order to be successful in business, you need to downgrade scum to 'associate', and surround yourself with a higher grade of human being. Its that old "birds of a feather" and "dog with fleas" principle.

 

It's not fair to cast judgement so quickly. When I was 19 (way back in the day), I was fired from my job at the mall for giving free food to the ladies that worked in the lingerie department. Sometimes there's a good reason for being terminated.

 

I am thinking that there is no thinking in trucking , so this why I like this thankless no thinking job I think!

 

So if you owned a company, and someone was seeking employment from you with full intentions to defraud you, it would be acceptable to you, business owner, if the employee's pickle was involved.

 

Hell I left swift after 6 months. I Pay them $50 a month and found a way better company. Put it this way. Those companies are going to use and abuse you any way they can. There is no issue with you doing the same thing back.
