I appreciate everyone's responses to what I've said and asked. I will be sure to post once I hear back from them and know if I made it in. My motivation for doing this is my family, I want to be able to provide them with a solid financial foundation. I want to know that my kids will always have clothes on their backs, food on the table, and a roof over their heads. I feel I can achieve this by being given the ability to run how I want to and not have to rely on someone behind a desk that would leave me sitting for hours or even days waiting for a load.

It's actually fairly flat where that happened. Just a few minor lumps in the road. I live close to where this happened. We've been getting snow squalls everyday out here since Thursday

nordrunner Thanks this. -
here's a different angle.
Happened at the bottom of the hill right after exit 8 on I78

Here's right before exit 8 (notice still ascending)

When I say fairly flat, I mean compared to the other hills we have around here. Like 81 once you pass exit 100 and especially past 104. I guess I could have said they are more like little rolling hills. Either way it was tragic what happened. Prayers to all involved and their families.TennMan Thanks this.

It's indeed sad.
Scene happened in between hills, probably factored in having less reaction time.
Lots of dangerous areas in PA during winter.GoGetta07 Thanks this. -
I was just in that area all last week, left Friday, looks like i got out just in time... Now im in Ohio and its been snowing all afternoon. Spring time needs to hurrrrrryyyyy!
FW how you been? I keep thinking i see your truck but its hard to tell. I dont see that many KW anymore, the black freightliners have taken over! Lol -
Today there was utter devastation in Indiana.
I went across the state eastbound on I74 and today takes the cake for a single day seeing the most cars/trucks in ditches and slid off crashed on the shoulder.
My whole trip was like....
and ![[IMG]](proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.godlikeproductions.com%2Fsm%2Fgdkifmqq.gif&hash=ab29c11d9ba03f81bad6db53c7e138e2)
I saw I74 westbound shutdown in 3 different sections with traffic rerouted around accidents.
On the CB I heard I70 westbound was a disaster and shutdown and I65 North was shutdown down.
The snow wasn't that bad but people were losing control all over the place.
There was a moment on i465 where I looked to my left and saw a Chrysler Crossfire driving in what appeared to be sliding with his front end angled at 10 o clock. Dude couldn't keep it straight at all. Then look to my right and see a Miata (those tiny roadsters) with his rear end wiggling along side of me.
Maybe oh 10-15 minutes later I see a red car bit ahead of me go sliding off and crash on the shoulder to the left.
Some articles started to surface.

I'm ok, haven't been in PA or east since November I think. So that's reason to celebrate lol.
I've seen 4-5 trucks the same as mine since I've been here.
How are things rolling with you? -
Yeah Indiana and Illinois is a mess. I'm headed to Louisiana and then Texas. Every thing is big in Texas. Especially the freight weight. Nothing under 44k in the whole state lol. I bet every truck that runs in tx is overweight. Are there any scales in tx?
