Handgun, like stated above, is only accurate to about 25 yards. Now a rifle is a whole different can of worms. I can shoot my .22 win mag with a fairly high degree of accuracy at 100 yards. 200 yards is a lot harder due to the bullet being so light but I can still keep a decent grouping at 200 yards.

I am no marksman, especially with a pistol/handgun, but I bet I'd be able to hit somewhere in that 1000 sq ft, from 100 yards, at least 25% of the time, even with spin off and loss of velocity... -
I bet you of all people could hit it from a football field consistently.
But I digress, since I bet this is a Rifle of some kind. Even a 12 yr old with a .22 rifle could hit a truck, no problem, after just a few hours of learning how to shoot. -

Latest update here: Police arrested 2 fourteen year old boys in connection with the shootings. They admitted to using the vehicles for "target practice."
